Surgery, 80's and Randomness

Olivia had a pharyngeal flap surgery to help her speech. It has been really hard for her...and me. Her neck is really stiff. Hydrocodone didn't even make a dent in the pain. Brooke woke up from her nap with an 80's hairdo and then wanted to take a picture of me. Olivia is doing a little better today, but it will take awhile to heal. Keep her in you prayers. Am I really going to have a newborn in 3 weeks? I don't think I can handle this right now. How did my Mom have 8 kids and the last at 40? I feel like I am 45 right now. Well, Merry Christmas and here's to getting all your shopping done and treats made to hand out to neighbors and friends. Santa doesn't feel like shopping right now or making treats.

Getting ready for Christmas

Yesterday was the day to get it done...and done we got it. Everything except for Christmas lights...who knows if that will ever happen. David doesn't see the point. Well, there is always a trade off when you do too much. We finally went to bed at 10pm and I stayed up and read while David snored. I fell asleep at 11 and woke up at 11:30 with contractions. They wouldn't go away, I moved positions, walked a bit, but they kept coming. I thought, "I better not have this baby a month early!"(even though I was a month early) Olivia has a surgery on Tuesday, Christmas shopping hasn't even begun, swing & changing table are at the shop and need to be cleaned, baby clothes need to be washed...and so it went on for 4 hours until I asked David to give me a blessing (secretly hoping this baby would come early so i could be done and my right foot would stop swelling) After the blessing I walked for 15 min. and then laid down and was able to sleep just like the blessing promised. Well another day and 28 more to go til baby #5 is here. I can wait, it just won't be easy.

Unicorns and a T Rex

Dane wanted to learn how to sew and make a T Rex, so I found this free template online and made it for him, with a little of his help. Claire was jealous and wanted a unicorn,so I bought a pattern at JoAnnes and thought, if I'm going to make one for her, might as well make one for the other girls. Little did I know how hard it was going to be, but after 3 days of cutting and sewing, I am done.....and so is my itch to sew.

This is Me and my friend Nichole at Time Out for women this last weekend. It was amazing, alot of crying and laughing and most importantly the spirit was strong. Kemmeth Cope was the musical guest and he was breathtaking. wow. He has a strong testimony, you can hear and feel it when he sings. Glad I was able to experience this uplifting weekend.

And they are off......I am as free as a bird, well with two baby birds still with me, but it is just sheer DELIGHT. (I am a little nervous for Claire- all day kindergarten) She was not nervous at all, just anxious.

And here is David and I on his 33rd birthday. We went to our good ole' standby Carabas. It was yum, we had a great night out and saw the movie The Proposal which made us laugh and laugh. That felt good to relax and spend time together. happy Birthday David!
Here we are over the 4th of July. we went to Sunrise which is near Greer and went camping with Kori and Jesse Lee (David's good friend from childhood)and their 4 kids and Todd and Whitney and their 2 kids (David's brother). We had a great time, ate yummy food and got drenched and hailed on when we were on our way up the lift. That was miserable, but the trip was nice and fireworks were suprisingly good. Maybe it will be a tradition, better than sitting in the heat in the valley! Claire and Olivia always hammin' it up!

a Post about nothing
here I am at my computer and I just want to write something because I hate looking at the butt crack post, so here goes. There is NOTHING going on with the house. I am craving NOTHING to eat and yet ANYTHING. NOTHING new is going on with my summer other than a slew of annoying things that I will not bore you with, and let's all face it-you don't want to hear my annoying day to day crap. You want to hear something new and exciting. Well, I am sorry I have NOTHING left for today...so here's to nothing more to say, goodnight and sleep tight.

Butt crack...not meant to be seen in public

So I was driving down the street today in my neighborhood and noticed a sight. This old man had a pair of jean shorts on and nothibng else. While his stomach was hangin out in front, as he turned around (because he was getting his mail of course) all I saw was butt crack, I had to take a double take. It was so long his paints were screaming to fall right off. I drove past and reached for my phone but would've had to turn around or back up to get the picture. So please old people, make sure you wear a belt if you show yourself in public for the day....just a small request.

Petersen 2nd Annual Reunion in Heber
We had so much fun at out favorite cabin this year. Everyone played card games ate yummy food including Raquel's Surprise Bread pudding, Aubree's tuna sandwiches with all the fixin's (add avacado and cheese to anything and it is 10 times better!), Keileb's tacos, Homemade croissants, eggs, ham, bacon, jam, fruit, Mom's chicken and rice with lots of veggies and mashed potatoes and finally Matt and Monica's famous Pizza Boats! with a spinach salad too. Needless to say we ate WELL. We played waterballoon volleyball, Stacey's version of Cranium (much better when you add karaoke in the mix) and card games galore. I didn't even talk to me chidren, they had so much fun exploring outside. They are finally at the age to do that without me worrying. So next year it is a date. Everyone can't wait to go up again, we had so much fun, there is nothing like relaxing with family and having a good time.
and they had a fashion show for us, they had a ball, there is Nathan showing us his talents

here are Dane Claire and Olivia checkin' out the llamas nearby

New Hampshire for Two
David and I took a trip to NH just for fun. It was like another world and so beautiful. We went to two diners that were on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network. Red Arrow Diner in Manchester, NH and Mikes Diner in Boston, Mass. What a way to travel, just follow the good eats joints! We pretty much just drove around and saw the sights. We went to the house of the seven gables in Salem, Mass. It was really pretty and quaint there. But our favorite was Petersborough in NH. We decides if we were rich we would own a home there, for the summer anyways. We had a great time and can't believe it has been a month since we went, did we even go? Someday I will build a home like the homes on the East Coast....give me anything but stucco and sante fe!!!

Not much going on here, just hangin out at the rental waiting for David to get back from Stake Youth Encampment, he went up as a cook on Tuesday MORNING and won't be back until Sat AFTERNOON....yes i miss him. It is hard without your better half...what is the point to anything if you don't have SOMEONE to complain to? He has to care, he is my husband, we are stuck with each othger. i realize that since he has been gone I have to suck it up and just deal with it! I lean on him for alot of things, he is my best friend. Well David, hurry and come home so that it feels like home again! I love you Stacey

s bistro
Come and eat at an amazing place on Main Street in Mesa. You won't find another like it, the price is reasonable, but the food is amazing. truly. Clean food, clean place, it feels as if you are in a different place......only one chef back there...David and I have found a favorite. And the dessert is to die for. We have now found a place that is close to go to after we go to the temple. Write me back and let me know what you think.

here she is...these are prison stripes because she was being naughty. She got into some chocolate power that was in a cup on the counter and she didn't start crying until I said I would spank her hands for being naughty. I didn't do it though, but I had to get the shot. Isn't she cute though?
