Zevai has NO aspartame and is made with stevia. The black cherry is good, and the cola but the lime twist is my favorite. Why you ask? Well, you know that nice little place called sonic? I like my cherry limeades there, but I can't have them. So I crush up fresh starwberries, blueberrries (SOOO good) or cherries and pour over my Zevia lemon lime twist with lots of ice with a straw and it hits the spot! btw no high fructose corn syrup either!

We all died and went to heaven for about 5 min. because that is how long it took to gobble em up. Well, cards and puzzles and games was what we did along with eat eat eat. We can't wait to go again next year and maybe stay another day!

T-shirt refashion

Ever get tired of spending $10 on a kids t shirt and in 4 months it looks ratty and old? Me too, that is why i bought $3 t shirts at walmart and used fabric I already had and some from an old t-shirt of mine to dress up these cute shirts for my girls. I bet you won't see another one like 'em! I have already pulled out some clothes that I never wear in my closet to try and Refashion them into something NEW for my girlies. More posts to come, maybe when summer is over and things slow down again!

Lentil Soup-we have discovered Lentils in our house and they are amazing
Lebanese-Style Red Lentil Soup
"This is a wonderful, tangy, spicy soup that sort of resembles split-pea. I sometimes add grilled chicken breast or cooked and cubed sweet potatoes for texture. Have fun with it!"
Serve with Jasmine Rice-
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups chicken stock
1 pound red lentils
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 large onion, chopped 1 tablespoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Bring chicken stock and lentils to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in garlic and onion, and cook until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 3 minutes.
3. Stir onions into the lentils and season with cumin and cayenne. Continue simmering until the lentils are tender, about 10 minutes.
4. Carefully puree the soup in a standing blender, or with a stick blender until smooth. Stir in cilantro and lemon juice before serving.

Rice milk is your friend
I made my own rice milk the other day it was really good. i have a Blendtec that my in-laws gave us for Christmas and I love it! All you need is 1 cup of cooked rice and water, salt and sugar and you have a drink that is pennies compared to the store.
